What is the NRL?

The National Robotics League (NRL) was a program developed to help students reach their fullest potential and work as a team. The mission of the NRL is to provide exciting, hands-on experiential STEM learning experiences through business/education partnerships that will spark interest and build the current and future workforce needed by the manufacturing industry. Students participating in this competition can learn important skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership.

The students and competitors are meant to face off in a Battlebots style competition. The competition is a fierce battle between different schools bots, the battles are fought in a bracket style where one bot wins and moves on to the next fight after a short repair break and the other bot moves to the loser’s bracket where they can fight their way back up. After a loss in the losers bracket you are fully knocked out of the competition. the competition is a amazing way for students to grow and flourish as a team and as a person in general.

The NRL wishes for every student in the United States of America to understand, explore and consider manufacturing as a career option through this exciting and real-life experience, providing hands-on learning through education and business that will hopefully spark interest and build up the current and future workforce needed by manufacturing.
